The FPGA Design Engineer is responsible for the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of software and troubleshooting code for firmware (IC embedded code) applications. The role often involves working with both analog and digital hardware and software operating systems. The engineer will perform Design Architecture activities for various programs and IRAD projects, typically programming in machine language, assembly language, and high-level languages such as System Verilog, VHDL, C, and C++. Collaboration with the Hardware Engineering Team is essential to complete Hardware Development, Simulation, and Verification for digital signal processing and general processing projects. The engineer will also support Integrated Product Teams, Engineering Project Managers, and Program Office staff to meet all customer objectives and program milestones.
