You will be the FPGA Design Engineer for Advanced Programs, supporting the development of system architectures, requirements, and trade studies. Our team is responsible for delivering a high-performance system, and you will play a key role in ensuring that system requirements are met and that the system is properly integrated and tested.

Supporting the development of system architectures, including block diagrams, interface control documents, and other architectural artifacts
Developing and refining system requirements, including performance, interface, and environmental requirements
Performing trade studies to optimize system performance, including evaluating different design options and developing recommendations for system implementation
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, software engineering, and test engineering, to ensure that system requirements are met and that the system is properly integrated and tested
Supporting the development of system models and simulations, including creating digital twins and other modeling artifacts
Participating in design reviews and other technical meetings to ensure that system requirements are met and that the system is properly designed and implemented
Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including system architectures, requirements documents, and trade study reports

Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience
HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or System Verilog
Experience in Hardware-Software Integration and Validation
Familiarity with FPGA toolsets
Experience with trade study development and execution, including the use of tools such as Excel and MATLAB

Familiarity with military standards and specifications, including MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-704
Experience with CAMEO requirements management tools
Experience with MOSA (Modular Open Systems Architecture) and WOSA (Weapon Open Systems Architecture)
Experience with management of Configuration Control (GitLab preferred)
Team and Design lead experience
Experience with Microchip (MicroSemi) and Libero SoC Design toolsets
Familiarity with FPGA Vivado/Vitis toolsets
Experience with UVM
Experience working with Polarfire devices
Experience with C/C++ programming
Experience with troubleshooting and debugging with board-level testing and FPGA validation
Experience in ASIC / FPGA life cycle (architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration & test), particularly at MFC
Expert programming Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) or Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLD)
Comfortable using digital oscilloscopes, power meters, and other test equipment
Experience with standard complex subsystem interfaces using PCIe, Ethernet, etc.
Experience with electronics design and troubleshooting activities
