About The Position

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of products through the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The person in this position will ensure proper ingredients and quantities are used for marination formulas and ensure marination mix is maintained proper temperature and in accordance with specifications. Team member in this position will be responsible for filling out Quality Assurance verifications and using handheld scanning devices to manage inventory of ingredients utilized. The Person in this position will communicate any issues to the Lead and/or Supervisor immediately, and perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to verify the correct product, ingredients and amounts are utilized for marination mixes. Must be able to constantly climb stairs while carrying ingredients to dump into the marination tank. Basic math (adding and subtracting) skills are required to keep track of the pounds needed and dumped into the marination tank. Must be able to obtain the pallet jack license after being in the job for 2 weeks.

Requirements

  • 6 months of continuous work history in the last 12 months.
  • This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Applications will be considered from the following counties: Washington, Benton, and Madison.
  • Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 180-day waiting period before you can reapply.
  • Number of Times Worked at Tyson: You can apply if you’ve worked at Tyson no more than three times.
  • Failed Drug Screen - if you had a failed drug screen, you must wait 6 months before reapplying.
