Our accounting/finance team is responsible for overseeing the financial operations, maintaining controls and providing analysis and reporting for the Label Group. Our processes include the month end close, payables, cash receipts and banking, revenue recognition, royalty accounting, inventory and assets as well as analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. As our FP&A intern, you will gain real-world exposure to accounting and finance, learning how our work shapes business decisions. They’ll develop and strengthen technical and analytical skills and become familiar with working in a collaborative team environment. Our paid internship program will give you a unique opportunity to enhance your professional skillset, increase your knowledge of the industry, and expand your network. Our goal is to help you develop your talents as well as receive dedicated mentorship and support. Our Spring Internship Program will run from Tuesday, June 2nd – Friday, August 14th and allows interns to work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week. This internship is a paid in-person opportunity and requires the ability to work in the specified office location.

Requirements

  • This internship is a part-time paid internship and requires someone located in/near Los Angeles
  • The timeline of this internship programs runs from Tuesday, June 2nd – Friday, August 14th. You must be able to work 20 hours/week.

Responsibilities

  • Review new release schedules, work with the FP&A director to manage our new release calendar for each label and communicate changes in release dates to the Financial Reporting team
  • Analyze revenue trends and project performance to provide variance analysis explanations at month-end
  • Analyze catalog revenue for the live forecast and work with our Senior Analyst to provide updated forecasts
  • Review growth performance of catalog artists and highlight any anomalies or major changes that require additional review for forecasting purposes
  • Master our data cube and create streaming-driven reports to drive insight into global trends
  • Run project budget P&Ls for our weekly meetings
