About The Position

As an FP&A Analyst at BZAM, you will report into designated management as required, and will be responsible for providing more visibility to the Executive Team and help them make operational decisions based on data. The FP&A Analyst will prepare accurate monthly financial reports, assist in the preparation of presentations that provide thoughtful analysis, identify action items, and effectively frame decisions that need to be made. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide your technical knowledge and accounting expertise to facilitate a successful implementation
  • Assess existing business processes and reporting requirements. Establish critical success factors for the project and define a comprehensive plan of action
  • Develop and maintain the reports, dashboards, and scorecards that inform budget stakeholders, managers and the executive team
  • Utilize advanced analytics tools and predictive models to expand and improve scoping of the company's strategic initiatives
  • Assist with enterprise initiatives to improve the collection or categorization of data
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly Financial reports for the executive team. Use financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process while proactively improving the method as needed
  • Collaborate with business leaders to model planned operating expenses and headcount requirements
  • Create and maintain a cultivation dashboard to forecast external cannabis procurement needs and avoid shortages
  • Review monthly operating results and financial statements. Identify any significant risk, and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Work closely with accounting to ensure transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger
  • Help in reviewing the MD&A of our competitors on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Assist in the development and review of financial and administrative policies
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and modeling to support decision making
  • Provide general support to the wider Finance team as needed.
