About The Position

The FP&A Analyst at UNFI is responsible for providing essential financial support for key processes such as the annual budget, periodic forecasts, and the month-end close cycle. This role involves preparing financial analyses, reports, and models to offer insights into business dynamics, contributing to planning and analysis processes, and collaborating with various departments to identify improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 0-2 years FP&A experience required
• Solid oral and written communication skills with the ability to express ideas and ask relevant questions.
• Active listening skills to ensure understanding of messages.
• Novice to Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access.

Responsibilities

• Prepares accurate and timely financial and business-related analyses, research, and forecasts as directed.
• Compiles and prepares accurate and timely reports.
• Conveys information meaningfully using tables, graphs, and charts.
• Contributes to the analysis of alternatives, recommendations, and research from multiple sources.
• Develops and prepares various analytical and statistical reports in support of business activities.
• Provides support to the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting of the assigned business area, including variance analysis and sensitivity testing.
• Partners with other departments in the preparation of analyses and to identify improvement opportunities.
