If you value teamwork, ownership, and solving tough problems, Flock could be the place for you. Flock Safety is seeking a Financial Analyst who will support the strategic finance and operations team. This role will be a critical business partner for the Operations organization & leadership and will be key to scaling our modeling and reporting capabilities. The Strategic Finance team at Flock is responsible for forecasting the business units they support, providing insight on business performance, developing strategies for improvement, and tracking variances/anomalies in financial data. This role will offer substantial leadership exposure and the opportunity to impact decision making in a hyper-growth environment.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years Strategic Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, Consulting, or a related business field
  • An expert in financial modeling and quantitative analysis, who enjoys solving complex and unstructured problems
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid project management skills, ability to independently manage tasks on time
  • Comfortable working in a very fast-paced, high-growth business environment
  • Work effectively and collaboratively cross functionally with your business partners
  • High proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets with ability to compile, transform, analyze, and present complex data sets
  • Proficiency in a data tools (Sigma) and a FP&A tools (Pigment)
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Get up to speed on month end close processes, data systems, & financial models
  • Become familiar with Flock’s operations and delivery processes
  • Participating in strategic project with cross functional partners
  • Review Operations hiring checkbook, and own monthly headcount reconciliation
  • Review Operations weekly Cash Flow model, and own relationship with Corporate FP&A to provide weekly guidance on updated cash burn
  • Own preparation of monthly Operations BvA, and all other monthly cost tracking related processes (month end close accruals, headcount reconciliation, updating cash burn)
  • Own model update projects end to end, improving the accuracy and detail of our forecasting models
  • Assisting in enhancing financial models, preparing planning materials, and driving analysis on cross functional projects.
  • Responsible for forecasting part of the business and drive cost improvement within the line items you own
  • Fluent in our data systems and ability to self source all data
