Actively engage and keep students on task. Utilize instructional time effectively. Manage discipline and safety in accordance with site discipline plan, board policy and state statutes. Establish and clearly communicate classroom expectations to students and parents/guardians. Engage in appropriate interpersonal relationships and communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, community, staff and administration. Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural, gender, intellectual and physical ability differences. Collaborate effectively with colleagues and administration. Display a positive attitude and promote a positive image of the school and community. Participate in professional development activities and model a commitment to lifelong learning. Adhere to policies, procedures and regulations of the building and district. Fulfill responsibilities outside the classroom as they relate to school.
