About The Position

The Four Slide Setup Operator is responsible for setup on multiple 4Slide machines and producing quality spring parts. This role involves setting up and operating 4Slide machines according to job specifications and blueprints to meet production needs while adhering to quality standards. The operator will install necessary tooling based on job orders and set the correct speed and feed rates. Additionally, the operator will perform quality checks on parts using various inspection instruments and will monitor, analyze, diagnose, and repair machine problems using technical and mechanical skills. Routine and preventative maintenance on machines is also required, along with maintaining a neat and orderly work area and observing all safety rules and policies. Other related duties and activities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in 4Slide Setup.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints, job orders, and interpret part specifications, as well as GD&T.
  • Ability to use inspection equipment such as comparators, micrometers, calipers, and scales.
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Safety-first mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer for entering data.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work overtime when required to meet customer demand.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyperson preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate 4Slide machines per job specification and blueprint.
