About The Position

Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Foundry Worker 3rd Shift. The core hours are 8:00 pm to 4:30 am. The hourly rate for this position is $21.71 - $27.14 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: Use compressed air and sandblasting equipment to perform cleaning and service duties on core machines, core boxes, and their components. Use a broom, shovel, and compressed air to perform cleaning and service duties on disamatic machines and their components. Move, stack, and deliver materials manually and with a forklift/front-end loader, including core boxes to the core department and cores to the mold department. Operate core machines as needed using the various machine controls and their settings. Manually remove cores from the work conveyor and place in them in the core pan. Operate automatic sweeper. Follow cleaning schedules for all equipment. Troubleshoot the operation of the equipment as it pertains to mold and core quality, or the calibration of the sand mix system, as needed. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner and apply 5-S program. Understand and perform designed TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) functions as required. Perform and maintain various recordkeeping duties and clerical operations such as documentation of job, as required. Perform other duties as assigned throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Amarillo, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hours and to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Follow all safety regulations associated and wear all PPE (personal protective equipment) as required including half face respirators and PAPR (powered air purifying respirator)
  • Work in various locations, including confined spaces, and at varied heights using fall protection, permits, and other safety processes and procedures as required including but not limited to lockout/tagout.
  • Forklift and frontend loader certified (powered industrial truck trained)
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow moderately technical standards, work instructions, schedules, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to work around molten metal and in a production environment that is hot and subject to unexpected swings of overtime (ability to flex personal schedule to cover tasks on other shifts)
  • Ability to work proactively and communicate effectively while working with all employees throughout plant.
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions: eSafety, MESH Prism
