About The Position

Westaff is seeking a Foundry worker for our client in Nashua NH! Job Description for the Foundry Worker: Diversified work. Use judgment to correctly plan & perform such operations as to make molds dependent on casting characteristics; produce parting lines, make sand or plastic match; layout and cut in (as required) gates, runners, fingers, risers; add chills; determine proper metal pouring temperatures. Use care when operating squeeze molding machine to produce proper molds; remove excess sand; riddle for proper fixture; ram correctly; etc. Use judgment and care to perform other foundry production operations (pouring, melting, line molding, dumping, core production, automatic machine operation, etc.) and maintain quality and quantity standards (i.e. on jobs the inclusion of which would be in conformity with the factor degrees assigned to this job). Operate sand system making periodic sand tests to insure sand quality. Perform saw and cutoff operation to remove castings from runner systems. Segregate production parts from foundry re-melt in tote boxes and color coded containers. Act as back up to schedule daily foundry molding list for specific molding machines.
