We are searching for the best talent for Foundry Operator I . The Foundry Operator I will operate diverse types of machinery in an assigned cell to produce various types of medical instruments and implants. Equipment used depends on the product being manufactured or the operation being performed and may vary from cell to cell or department. Under the direction of the cell lead, will work to ensure production requirements are met, product quality is maintained, machine maintenance schedules are adhered to and safety rules are followed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 6–12 months of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment in accordance with established procedures and quality requirements.
  • Use systems such as PLM, MES, ERP, and Microsoft Office to complete daily tasks and documentation.
  • Perform basic equipment care and routine machine maintenance.
  • Conduct in ‑ process quality checks, support rework/reprocessing, and collaborate with Quality and Engineering to resolve issues.
  • Follow all safety procedures, JSAs, and EHS&S requirements, including PPE use and incident reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records, inspection sheets, and traceability documents.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA QSR, ISO 9000, and ISO 13485 standards.
  • Support engineering projects, validation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs and follow all training and procedural requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Cutoff Verifies batch information matches the correct tree before cutting parts.
  • Ensures all parts removed from the tree match in orientation and size.
  • Intec Confirms all pieces match the BOM, selects the proper fixture, and positions each part accurately.
  • Places fixtured pieces on the correct pallets and scans material numbers to load the appropriate Intec program.
  • Bench Inspects parts for defects and removes imperfections using tools such as a Dremel when needed.
  • Goff Loads jobs into the Goff machine and runs required cycles.
  • Transfers processed parts to the designated FPI basket.
  • FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) Loads part baskets into the FPI machine and scans each batch into the FPI program.
  • Performs visual inspection of each piece under blacklight to identify defects.
