About The Position

The Foundry Lead position is to help coordinate the quality, productivity efforts in foundry. Lead will be responsible for the shift workmanship. This is a “working lead” position with the following key responsibilities. All responsibilities of Vacuum Casting Technician II. Direct and schedule work force daily. Enforce all safety guidelines. The team leader is responsible for the quality of his/her team. The Lead is responsible for assuring that operators comply with PEI’s and SOP’s and that any scrap that does occur is held at the Hold Cart and documented appropriately. Lead will complete routine SOP/PEI quality audits. Adjust production schedule as required by change of circumstances to maximize throughput. Train new employees and provide feedback to improve the quality and performance of existing employees. Direct all employees on AQCS/Lot Control and insure all data is entered correctly. Develop all employees to meet department efficiency standards for all operations. Administrative duties such as providing input into employee reviews. Conduct crossover meetings to brief shift on goals, quality issues and miscellaneous information. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Fully Certified Vacuum Cast Tech II
  • Excellent interpersonal skills capable of nurturing a team environment
  • Excellent attendance record
  • No written Quality warnings within the last year
