About The Position
Join as a founding engineer to build a world-class firmware development platform from the ground up. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will own major product areas end-to-end, architecting complex technical systems for engineers building mission-critical hardware. This is a high-impact, hands-on role defining the technical roadmap and building a team. Location: San Francisco, USA Why this role is remarkable: Founding employee status with significant equity (1.5-3%) in a high-potential seed-stage venture. Direct influence on product strategy and technology stack, working side-by-side with the CEO and CTO. Opportunity to solve complex technical challenges involving computer vision and agentic flows for hardware engineering.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience shipping 0-to-1 products, specifically for highly technical users or developer audiences.
- Full-stack expertise across React, Node.js, and Python with a focus on building scalable infrastructure.
- Strong interest or background in firmware, embedded systems, or hardware-software integration workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement full-stack features across desktop applications and cloud infrastructure.
- Build zero-error computer vision systems and unified data ontologies for hardware documentation.
- Evolve the technical roadmap and establish development best practices across the entire product portfolio.
