Founding Mobile Software Engineer

About The Position
We're assisting a well-funded startup in the health-tech space with their search for a founding mobile engineer. They've created a platform that allows patients to shop for healthcare just as they'd shop for anything else online. The role will be a hyrbid position, working 3 days in the Cambridge or SF office and 2 days remotely.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building mobile apps, with meaningful production experience in React Native
- Strong understanding of native iOS and/or Android development (Swift, Kotlin) — you don't need to be an expert in both, but you should be comfortable with either
- Experience with Expo, including build tooling, OTA updates, and native module configuration
- Proficiency with TypeScript and React
- Experience architecting shared code between mobile and web codebases (or a strong opinion on how to do it well)
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with modern backend frameworks is a plus — they use Ruby on Rails and Postgres
