About The Position

Highlight AI is a small, senior engineering team focused on building a desktop AI assistant that captures user interactions across applications to provide answers and actions. The company values fast shipping, product quality, privacy, and user trust. They are seeking a storyteller to define how the world discovers and engages with Highlight, ultimately driving growth and scaling the brand.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years in creator-led growth, content, or social with a portfolio demonstrating business outcomes.
  • Ability to ideate, write, shoot, and edit content across multiple formats.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in reading and understanding content.
  • Platform-native across TikTok, Shorts, Reels, and LinkedIn.
  • Comfortable with CMS/blog workflows and possess strong editing and headline/hook instincts.
  • Data-driven, fast, and highly autonomous, thriving in collaboration with engineers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in AI, productivity, or developer tools.
  • Skills in motion graphics or light design.
  • Experience building a creator program from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Define Highlight’s social-native brand and editorial voice.
  • Create and ship content across various mediums including short-form video, LinkedIn, blog, newsletters, product updates, and lightweight landing pages.
  • Build creator-led growth from zero to one, directly tying it to signups, activation, and retention.
  • Establish content strategy and calendar aligned to funnel stages (awareness → trial → activation → advocacy).
  • Create 2–3 signature franchises for video and 1–2 written franchises that publish weekly.
  • Lead LinkedIn presence by publishing thoughtful posts and POVs to build credibility with PMs, engineers, and founders.
  • Draft 1–2 weekly LinkedIn posts/threads, 1 high-signal blog per week or every other week, and a lightweight monthly email/newsletter.
  • Ship concise release notes, before/after demos, and micro-docs to help users understand value faster.
  • Stand up a lean creator pod, setting briefs, style guides, and QA for brand safety and performance.
  • Decide on paid amplification strategies and own budget while proving ROI.
  • Collaborate with engineers and PMs to surface story-worthy product moments and influence the roadmap.
  • Instrument UTMs and build a channel/content dashboard to measure success.
  • Set a weekly experiment cadence and scale what converts while deprecating what doesn’t.
