About The Position

Omi is seeking a world-class founding firmware engineer to join the team and help build innovative AI hardware. The company has seen significant growth in the past 10 months, including reaching 300K software users and generating over 100M organic video views. The role involves owning the firmware for Omi devices, integrating other devices into the Omi ecosystem, and shaping the product direction and technical stack alongside the founder.

Requirements

• Experience in building and shipping impressive products
• Experience writing firmware for 1,000+ devices
• Experience building a product used by 1M+ people
• Experience building something with >$1M revenue
• Experience raising >$1M as a founder or solo builder
• Deep technical skills and ability to work quickly

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Flutter and Python/Flask
• Familiarity with firmware development in C and Nordic chips
• Experience with BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy)

Responsibilities

• Own firmware for Omi devices
• Hack other devices to integrate them with the Omi ecosystem (e.g., Apple Watch, Meta Glasses)
• Help shape product direction, technical stack, and culture
• Work directly with the founder on building and launching products
