About The Position

MintMCP is an AI infrastructure company that provides visibility into MCP and Agents usage, enforces guardrails and permissions, and facilitates company-wide AI deployment through its MCP Gateway and Agentic platform. The company is AI-native, with all employees using Claude/Codex daily and agents executing product, design, and engineering processes. The Founding Engineer will be responsible for building and deploying cutting-edge agentic technology. This role involves owning features end-to-end from conception to production across gateway infrastructure, enterprise deployments, and agentic systems. The work is primarily backend and infrastructure-focused, but also includes UI development and pipeline optimization. The company operates with a horizontal structure in a rapidly evolving market, emphasizing quick shipping and leveraging AI (Claude/Codex) for accelerated development, debugging, and learning.

Requirements

• End-to-end builder with proven shipping experience to real users
• Doesn't wait for specs or approvals, ships then iterates
• Cares about product value, customer needs, and business impact, not just technical purity or code quality in isolation
• Takes infra and security seriously, thinking about blast radius, trust boundaries, and critical path implications
• AI Native and uses AI in day to day workflows
• Comfortable across the stack: TypeScript, Go, Python, and CockroachDB
• Fast learner across languages, protocols, and domains
• Holds strong opinions paired with intellectual humility
• Can work in a horizontal org and thrive in ambiguity and scrappy environments
• Not a specialist who works in silos or needs extensive process

Nice To Haves

• Experience on developer-facing products, protocol / gateway work, or infrastructure at scale
• Design sensibility: engineers care about design, designers think about infrastructure
• Background in security, identity, or permission systems
• Contributions to open source, MCP servers, or agentic frameworks

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end from conception through production across our gateway infrastructure, enterprise deployments, and agentic systems
• Build and deploy the most cutting edge agentic technology at MintMCP
• Build UI when the product needs it
• Fix pipelines when they lag
• Ship within hours
• Use AI (Claude/Codex) in day to day workflows for coding, debugging, learning, or pushing on what's possible
