About The Position
We're assisting a well-funded venture firm with their search for a founding engineer (potentially CTO/cofounder) for a stealth startup they're incubating. The focus of the product is to automate a lot of the work that consultants currently do manually. The role will work onsite 5 days a week in the NYC office.
Requirements
- Strong experience shipping production software with real users
- Deep expertise in Python, SQL, and AI/LLM tooling
- Experience integrating with complex enterprise systems and APIs
- Comfortable across the stack: Django, Pandas, React, JS/Node, etc.
- Strong grasp of cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent)
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and move quickly in an early-stage environment
- Past leadership experience or interest in growing an engineering team
Responsibilities
- Own the full-stack development of product features and internal tooling
- Architect, build, and ship code at lightning speed
- Work directly with early customers to iterate and improve UX and functionality
- Influence company strategy, product roadmap, and technical direction from Day 1
- Help build the early team and engineering culture
