About The Position

At Serif, we're building the first truly functional personal agent powered by applied AI. As a Founding Engineer, you'll work directly with our core team to establish the technical foundation of our product. You'll tackle complex AI integration challenges and help create systems that manage users' lives comprehensively, reducing stress and enabling more successful one-person businesses. Some of the challenging technical problems you'll help solve include: Building reliable agent systems that can handle complex, multi-step tasks Designing robust integration frameworks for connecting with various digital services Creating seamless user experiences that build trust in autonomous AI actions Implementing sophisticated context management and memory systems that sync across all surfaces We're assembling a world-class engineering team to transform how people interact with AI. Requirements

• 3~5 years of experience at hypergrowth startup
• Strong software engineering experience with modern web technologies
• Experience building and scaling backend systems
• Background in working with AI/ML systems or integrating with AI APIs
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly evolving technical requirements
• Passion for creating AI systems that genuinely help people

Nice To Haves

• Experience building autonomous agent systems or AI applications
• Background in natural language processing or large language models
• Knowledge of modern AI frameworks and infrastructure
• History of working in early-stage startups and wearing multiple hats
• Experience building and scaling backend systems to support real-world production workloads

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core infrastructure for our AI agent platform
• Build robust integration systems for connecting with external services and APIs
• Develop reliable agent execution frameworks that can handle complex tasks
• Create intuitive interfaces for users to interact with their personal agent
• Optimize for performance, reliability, and security across our systems
• Collaborate with AI researchers to implement cutting-edge agent capabilities
• Help establish engineering best practices and technical direction
