St. Ambrose University seeks a visionary leader to serve as the Founding Director of the School of Nursing , a newly established academic unit spanning two campuses . Requirements

• Doctoral degree in nursing or a closely related discipline.
• Eligible for RN licensure in Iowa.
• Proven leadership experience in nursing education and academic administration.
• Deep understanding of accreditation standards and program sustainability.
• Commitment to learner-centered education and student success.
• Ability to foster faculty development and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Understanding of Catholic intellectual tradition and social teaching, with a willingness to support the University's mission.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the School of Nursing across two campuses, ensuring operational efficiency and academic excellence.
• Oversee program development, accreditation, and continuous improvement for the University's undergraduate nursing programs.
• Collaborate with university offices to drive enrollment, retention, and degree completion.
• Manage budgets ethically and strategically, aligning resources with institutional priorities.
• Recruit, develop, and support faculty and staff committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service.
• Build strong partnerships with healthcare organizations, professional networks, and community stakeholders.
• Facilitate strategic initiatives and alignment across campuses, including regular travel between sites.
• Serve as a passionate advocate for nursing education within the college and university.
