About The Position

We are an applied AI company building agents for HR teams hiring the world’s deskless workforce At Achilles, we’re building AI agents to solve the biggest problem for frontline industries — hiring. Sam is our flagship voice and text agent that owns the entire candidate hiring pipeline — from creating resumes for candidates, to conducting multi-lingual voice interviews, to scheduling in-person final interviews with clients, all without human intervention. Across the HR software space, there is no software with good design. Legacy players like ADP, oracle, and SAP are from a different era, and newer entrants like Workday, gusto, and rippling are clunky and hard to use. Achilles will be the first hr software that prioritizes design. We’re looking for a Designer with strong visual taste to help us build out that vision. This is a hands-on role for someone who can take a fuzzy problem, find the signal, and deliver polished work end-to-end. For us, it’s both how it works and how it looks.

Requirements

You have at least 3 years of experience in design, ideally designing for customer outside the technology industry.
You have excellent visual, UI, and interaction skills.
You’re comfortable delivering the right artifacts at the right time with modern design tooling: from FigJam workshops to Figma mockups to production/prototype code with v0, Cursor, or Claude Code.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to proactively seek feedback and influence peers while improving the product.
You are a phenomenal collaborative teammate capable of delivering candid feedback and taking constructive feedback with no ego.
You’re comfortable working in an environment where engineering ships quickly
You’re able to voice a design perspective with conviction but open mindedness
