About The Position
We believe that the way engineering output is measured today is fundamentally broken. Our mission is to build the definitive platform for understanding and improving how engineering teams work. By leveraging modern AI, we provide teams with a far more accurate and actionable view of productivity, impact, and collaboration—moving beyond vanity metrics and surveillance toward better engineering outcomes. As our Founding AI Engineer, you will be responsible for building the intelligence that understands the nuances of software engineering work. You aren't just implementing models; you are building the processes and standards that will define our technical foundation. You will work directly with our CTO (MIT alum, founding engineer background) and CEO (experienced sales leader) in a high-intensity, $4.2M seed-funded environment.
Requirements

- Pragmatism: You know how to operate in a startup environment where you must balance "extinguishing fires" with long-term building.
- Technical Proficiency: 1+ years of experience with Python and Go. You must be comfortable shipping production-ready systems.
- High Empathy & Communication: You care deeply about how users think and can communicate technical complexity clearly to both engineers and executives.
- Grit: You are accustomed to picking the hard option and pushing through it.
- Eligibility: Must be a US Citizen or current Visa holder.

Responsibilities
- Architect AI Systems: Build and deploy AI models that analyze how engineers work, surfacing insights into quality and collaboration.
- Define Standards: Create the internal processes that make building incremental features and models faster and more reliable.
- Product Innovation: Partner with founders to rethink engineering output from first principles.
- Customer Delight: Deliver "10x" intelligence features that make the lives of engineering leaders and their teams significantly easier.
