The Opportunity We’re hiring our first dedicated sales hire — a Founding Account Executive who will own revenue growth and help build the sales motion alongside the CEO. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a proven SaaS seller who wants to move earlier, take real ownership, and help turn early traction into a scalable, repeatable growth engine. You’ll be responsible for closing deals and shaping how sales gets done at Legible.

Requirements

  • 4–8 years of experience closing SaaS deals (mid-market preferred)
  • Experience at a more established SaaS company; early-stage/startup exposure is a plus
  • Comfortable owning the full sales cycle end-to-end
  • High agency, high intelligence, and a strong work ethic
  • Strong point of view on sales process and pipeline management
  • Consultative seller who can navigate multiple stakeholders
  • Excited to work in-person with a sharp, fast-moving, high-performing team in Austin

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to government, public sector, or policy-adjacent selling is a plus (not required)

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle: outbound prospecting, discovery, demo, close, and expansion
  • Drive new logo growth across state-level government affairs, policy, and advocacy organizations
  • Convert inbound, PLG, and referral-driven opportunities at a high clip
  • Build a pipeline through targeted outbound to high-value accounts
  • Partner directly with the CEO on messaging, pricing, deal strategy, and process
  • Help design and refine the sales playbook (stages, handoffs, tooling, metrics)
  • Turn what’s working today into something repeatable and scalable
  • Lay the foundation for a future sales team you can help lead and grow
