Position Summary: The Foundation Senior Director of Development is responsible for cultivation, solicitation and stewarding philanthropic donors who support the strategic priorities of Orlando Health. Works collaboratively with the vice president of development to manage fundraising initiatives and campaigns. Area of Coverage: St. Cloud and Osceola County

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Eight (8) to 10 years of not-for-profit or related experience recommended.
• The management and development of staff or service line required.

Nice To Haves

• Board, committee, association, or community involvement recommended.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for carrying a donor portfolio with the guidance of a supervisor. A portfolio consists of prospects, donors, event interactions, donor visits, dollars requested, and dollars received campaign and service line development, and stewardship efforts.
• Responsible for leading strategy and developing staff and volunteers with respect to Foundation cultivation, fundraising and engagement efforts.
• Works closely with database manager to develop and manage donor portfolios.
• Solicits philanthropic contributions through direct major gift asks.
• Serves as an external facing ambassador for Orlando Health Foundation at community and corporate events when appropriate.
• Maintains and strengthens relationships with current donors.
• Participate in planned giving conversations and strategies.
• Develop relationships with new potential donors to Orlando Health by working with the donor stewardship and engagement team.
• Works with Orlando Health physicians, administrators, board members and volunteers in the education/cultivation, solicitation, closure, and stewardship of major gift prospects.
• Participates in the donor recognition strategy and implementation.
• Maintains regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

• Assists with the strategic planning and preparation of proposals and presentations as appropriate.
