About The Position

The College for Creative Studies (CCS) invites applications for an adjunct position in the Foundation department with experience in Process & Making (Model Making). This position reports to the Chair of the Foundation department within the Undergraduate Studies Division. The adjunct member in Foundation is responsible for teaching a studio class that meets twice a week on campus. Classes are scheduled based on availability and may vary each semester. This position requires strengths in mentoring and motivation of students to achieve their full potential in accomplishing work that meets college level standards as established by the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Fine Arts degree required.
• Master of Fine Arts (MFA) preferred.
• Design Industry background and experience preferred.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience at the college level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach a studio class focused on model making techniques.
• Mentor and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
• Ensure students meet college level standards in their work.
• Train students in the proper use of tools and safety protocols.
• Guide students in planning projects from idea through to finished object.
