About The Position

In partnership with the Foundation President, the Sr. Director of Board & External Relations provides strategic leadership for the governance, engagement, and effective functioning of the Hoag Hospital Foundation Board of Directors and its committees Designs and executes a comprehensive Board relations strategy that supports strong governance practices, deepens board engagement, and advances the Foundation’s mission and strategic priorities Serves as the primary liaison to the Hoag Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, partnering closely with the Foundation President and senior leadership Plans, coordinates, and supports all Board and committee meetings, activities, and events, including regular meetings, committee meetings, Board retreats, and official correspondence Oversees all Board operations, including agenda development, preparation and distribution of materials, meeting logistics, documentation, and maintenance of official Board records Ensures Board and committee work aligns with an annual governance calendar and fulfills fiduciary, compliance, and oversight responsibilities Facilitates Board engagement and development, fostering collaborative and productive relationships among board members, committee members, Foundation leadership, and external stakeholders Provides board members with timely information, resources, and support to enable informed decision-making and meaningful participation Ensures Board and committee activities are accurately documented, well-organized, and appropriately archived in accordance with Foundation policies and best practices Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is a nonprofit regional health care delivery network in Orange County, California, consisting of three acute-care hospitals with sixteen urgent care centers, eleven health centers and a network of more than1,800 physicians, 100 allied health members, 8,000 employees, and 2,000 volunteers.
