Under the supervision of the ED/AVP of Operations/Adv Services, the Director, Prospect Research is responsible for executing all prospect research and due diligence requests from Foundation team members. This role involves developing tools and resources to identify, report on, track, segment, and analyze prospects and donors to meet annual and long-term fundraising objectives. The Director will anticipate and respond to the needs of development officers by producing prospect profiles and evaluating a system to assign prospects to gift officer portfolios while monitoring related moves management activities. Additionally, the Director will secure and reevaluate prospect research vendors and tools, develop methods for identifying new potential prospects, and design studies and reports using research and screening tools on prospect constituencies. Keeping current on research and fundraising trends through regular contact with development and research colleagues at peer institutions and vendors is also essential. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality briefing documents and prospect profiles for TGH executive leadership, identifies and maintains information on major gift prospects, and presents appropriate materials in response to requests for information. The Director must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold ethical standards while pursuing professional development opportunities in the field of prospect research.
