About The Position

The Foundation Development Officer at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) is responsible for managing and growing a comprehensive major gifts portfolio, focusing on high net worth individuals capable of making significant contributions. This role emphasizes relationship building and effective communication to connect donor interests with the health system's needs, ultimately supporting the Foundation's mission to enhance patient care through philanthropic efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5 years of related experience in individual donor development and/or fund development.
• Demonstrated success in securing major/mid-level gift support from individuals.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of prospects and donors.
• Secure gifts of $25,000 or more for various projects and programs.
• Cultivate new prospects through effective donor management strategies.
• Move prospects through the complete giving cycle of Discovery, Cultivation, and Solicitation.
• Manage a CRM system to track and cultivate relationships.
• Prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
