About The Position

The Foundation Development Associate will provide development support to all areas of the Foundation including, Major Gifts, Events, Sustained Giving, Planned Giving, Grants, cultivation activities and other methods. The position is responsible for building a donor portfolio with the guidance of a supervisor, managing multiple ongoing areas of responsibility for the benefit of the Orlando Health Foundation, and ensuring excellent customer service and working relationships with team members, vendors, community leaders, event sponsors/participants, volunteers, and customers. The associate will assist in the creation and writing of donor proposals, develop stewardship plans for major donors and family foundations, and manage online fundraising campaigns. Additionally, the associate will represent the Foundation at Orlando Health functions and community events, evaluate and update donor recognition, and may manage the grant application process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • One (1) year of related work experience required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, Internet proficiency, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Build a donor portfolio with the guidance of a supervisor.
  • Manage multiple ongoing areas of responsibility for the benefit of the Orlando Health Foundation.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and working relationships with team members, vendors, community leaders, event sponsors/participants, volunteers, and customers.
  • Assist in the creation and writing of donor proposals.
  • Assist with the development of stewardship plans for major donors and family foundations.
  • Support a minimum of three areas of the Foundation (i.e. Sustained Giving, Major Gifts, Planned Giving, Grants).
  • Manage online fundraising campaigns and engage donors through digital mediums.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of cultivation events, fundraising events, and tours.
  • Represent the Foundation at Orlando Health functions and community events.
  • Attend a minimum of one event per quarter, totaling six events per year.
  • Evaluate and update donor recognition.
  • Develop relationships with key volunteers to grow and expand fundraising efforts.
  • Manage the grant application process including research towards new funding opportunities.
