As a Foster/Resource Parent Mentor you will provide direct support, training, and assisting parents and caregivers in navigating systems of care for youth in their home. Developing structured and positive relationships with Caregivers to empower them to succeed in parenting youth impacted by trauma. Services are primarily delivered in a community setting, to parents who are caring for youth with identified behavioral and/or mental health concerns. Parent mentoring is client driven and provided during times identified as most relevant to the client (may include some nights, early mornings, and occasional weekends). You will use a combination of modalities including Motivational Interviewing and Collaborative Problem Solving in order to accomplish specific goals identified with the client.
