About The Position

Spurwink is seeking a full time (32-40 hours a week) Treatment Foster Care and Foster Care Recruitment Supervisor to lead the way in implementing innovative strategies to bolster excitement about fostering in Maine. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of recruitment/marketing experience, a good understanding of the foster care system in Maine, and be highly skilled at developing and sustaining positive connections in the community. Experience in a leadership role and a passion for improving the lives of children and families involved in foster care are a must! Excellent communication and organizational skills are also vital. This position will start in January 2026.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience in social services, community organizing, marketing or relevant sales.
  • Must have experience understanding and presenting detailed information to others, as well as public speaking and customer service experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit specialized foster homes within the confines of the DHHS contract as well as foster care standards.
  • Ensure each staff meets contract compliance and recruitment goals.
  • Provide and participate in individual and group supervision.
  • Accurately track and report marketing efforts and results; analyzing outcomes to guide future marketing and planning decisions.
  • Engage and collaborate with DHHS, community partners, and other relevant entities.
  • Be the primary point of contact and representative of Spurwink and TFC recruiting events.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all foster parents and clients.
