About The Position

Join Our Team as a Foster Care Coordinator! Are you a dedicated social services professional looking to make a direct impact on the lives of children and families? We are seeking a versatile Foster Care Case Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will balance traditional casework with essential clinical coordination, managing everything from home visits and court hearings to psychiatrist scheduling and medical billing. What You'll Do: Case Management & Advocacy Interim Support: Provide seamless case management for assigned clients during staff absences or vacancies. Direct Care: Conduct home visits, face-to-face meetings, and family visits in compliance with DCS policies and COA standards. Service Planning: Develop comprehensive, individualized master service plans in partnership with foster and biological parents. Support & Intervention: Offer therapeutic support to children (addressing grief, anger, and educational goals) and provide crisis intervention for families as needed. Representation: Attend and participate in court hearings, Child and Family Team Meetings (CFTMs), and treatment team meetings. Clinic & Administrative Coordination Scheduling: Develop and maintain the calendar for the Psychiatrist and the Outpatient Clinic. Medical Liaison: Coordinate documentation, appointments, and billing for both in-house and external medical services. Record Keeping: Perform transcription duties and ensure all charts and records meet state and accreditation standards. Compliance: Complete monthly reports, quarterly home inspections, and general paperwork with strict attention to deadlines. Community & Growth Collaboration: Maintain professional relationships with community agencies to fully implement treatment plans. Recruitment: Assist in the retention and recruitment of foster families to expand our network of care. QualificationsWhat You'll Bring: Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related field. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of related casework experience. Knowledge: Strong understanding of DCS state policies and COA accreditation guidelines. Skills: Excellent organizational and scheduling abilities. Proficiency in medical transcription and documentation. Ability to provide crisis intervention and therapeutic support. Requirements
