We need motivated and hard-working team members from anywhere in the U.S. to travel abroad and support our U.S. Military's Electronics Systems. The selected applicant will represent Naval Aviation Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Webster Out Lying Field, Special Communications Mission Solutions (NAWCAD WOLF SCMS) as a subject matter expert on the Family of Special Operations Vehicles (FOSOV) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR). They will oversee and manage operational aspects of existing tasking that includes but is not limited to; assigning daily work schedules of personnel, reviewing status of budgets, schedules, and preparing status reports, assessing issues, and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and program goals and objectives. Under minimal supervision, the candidate will provide technical and administrative support on FOSOV Deployed Mission Support (DMS) - Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) sustainment tasking efforts. The successful candidate must demonstrate a general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. Contacts will be internal and external to BAE Systems and NAWCAD WOLF SCMS. The candidate will be able to travel independently to OCONUS locations to provide technical support as a subject matter expert (SME) on FOSOV vehicles and equipment. They are expected to be fluent with and utilize the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), FOSOV Maintenance Action Reporting System (MARS) government database to review Trouble Reports (TRs) for completeness and accuracy. The candidate will utilize the Material Inventory Control System (MICS) government database for the movement of sustainment replacement, repair parts, and material and will act as a conduit between Field Service Technicians (FSTs) and Engineering in addressing configuration items/issues, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Unit Organic Operational Equipment requirements. This position requires deployment (one year minimum with a 2-week midterm return to CONUS break) to locations designated as Hazardous Duty by the U.S. Department of State. The successful candidate must be willing to travel to Hazardous Duty areas and meet/maintain training and “Fit for Duty” requirements (specific health and physical requirements) as specified by the contract(s) and applicable U.S. Government directives (i.e. CENTCOM Mod 17). This position is located in Kuwait and managed in Chesapeake, VA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants will reside on base camp and be provided transportation between CONUS and Kuwait.
