About The Position

We’re hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to help bring our Spatial Generative AI technology into real-world environments. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and customers. You will work directly with warehouse operators to deploy our system, design integrations, and solve complex technical challenges during implementation. This role reports to the VP of Product. We’ve found a ton of value and upside in spending time together, so our team works from our SF and NYC offices three days a week. Forward Deployed Engineers ensure our technology works reliably in complex warehouse environments and delivers meaningful outcomes for customers. In this role, you will bridge the gap between product and warehouse operations — deploying systems, solving technical challenges on-site, and translating real-world insights into improvements that shape the future of the product.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background in software engineering, solutions engineering, or technical implementation roles.
  • Experience working directly with customers to deploy and configure technical products.
  • Ability to design and implement data integrations and APIs between systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work through complex technical issues in real-world environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across engineering, product, and customer teams.
  • Travel to warehouse facilities to work directly with customers (~ 2 weeks / month)
  • Comfort working in early-stage startup environments with high ownership and ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Own technical discovery and configuration for customer warehouse deployments.
  • Drive the end-to-end customer deployment workflow, ensuring successful implementation and adoption.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to solve technical challenges during deployments.
  • Refine product requirements and feature needs based on customer and field insights.
  • Design and support customer data integrations, collaborating with engineering teams to build scalable solutions.
  • Contribute to and refine the implementation playbook to improve repeatability and deployment efficiency.
  • Act as a technical partner to customers throughout onboarding and deployment.
