About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Forward Deployed AI Solution Architect to join the Americas AI Acceleration Hub within Ericsson's Strategic Projects and Transformation Unit. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, data science, enterprise applications, and secure system design, and is critical to delivering end-to-end, secure, scalable, and compliant AI-enabled solutions across Ericsson's business units. As a forward-deployed architect, you will work directly with business stakeholders while partnering closely with Central IT to design, integrate, and deploy solutions that span multiple systems, data platforms, and user-facing applications. You will embed with business teams to translate needs into production-grade architectures. You will own the overall architecture, ensuring secure data flows, system scalability, performance underload, and compliance with enterprise standards from design through deployment and governance. You will frame the business case and iterate rapidly from prototype to PoC and work on productionizing the solution.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of solution or systems architecture experience
  • Proven end-to-end architecture ownership
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • System integration and API design expertise
  • Security and compliance-driven architecture
  • Scalability and high-throughput system design
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Front-end, back-end, and database awareness
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML systems
  • Risk assessment frameworks and enterprise risk management (e.g., threat modeling, and mitigation planning)
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to communicate architecture to technical and business audiences
  • Ability to understand and validate the business case independently (e.g., value hypothesis, ROI drivers, adoption constraints)
  • Systems-level thinker
  • Comfortable operating in complex enterprise environments with ambiguity and rapid iteration cycles from prototype → PoC → production

Nice To Haves

  • GenAI evaluation methods (e.g., offline/online evals, golden sets, rubric-based scoring, and regression testing)

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary technical and architectural advisor to business units and translate business problems into technical solution designs
  • Design end-to-end system architectures across data, AI, and applications
  • Define integration patterns, APIs, and secure data flows including data contracts.
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and fault tolerance including observability while optimizing AI system latency, cost, and accuracy
  • Lead architecture reviews, PoCs, and enterprise approvals including security reviews and risk assessments
  • Partner with data engineers and data scientists on production systems and collaborate with application teams to produce solutions
  • Rapidly prototype solutions based on user use-cases and iterate with stakeholders to validate PoC outcomes
  • Apply AI safety guardrails (e.g., prompt controls, grounding, policy enforcement, and data/PII protections) to reduce misuse and hallucination risk
