Requirements

  • 6+ years experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Warehousing
  • High School Diploma required
  • Management experience in transportation/logistics including dock and cross dock operations
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office including; Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at any given time

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Transportation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor team members including, terminal managers, dock supervisors and workers
  • Be in constant contact through visits and phone/email with our Carrier Partners (CP’s) and individual customer locations/dealers
  • Manages team through metrics and also the communication to/from the customer while prioritizing issues and resolutions
  • Drive continuous improvement across the area of operations by setting goals, assigning projects, and ensuring that each member of the team has the training and resources to be successful
  • Knowledgeable on the requirements of each customer and their contracts
  • Development of action plans and communicate and coordinate with the District Manager
  • Performs cross dock audits, facilities maintenance, security, and equipment
  • Other job duties as assigned
