The Forum Moderator (student position NCSA)
About The Position
The Forum Moderator shall work 4 hours weekly: ensure at the beginning of each school year that all currently- enrolled students are subscribed to the [FORUM], unless they have expressed a preference not to be. be responsible for ensuring that currently-enrolled students are subscribed or unsubscribed to the [FORUM] according to their expressed preferences. have the primary responsibility for reviewing posts to the [FORUM] to ensure that the expectations are being met. Specifically: Readers of the [FORUM] should be given the choice to see pornographic, erotic, or other extreme images. As such, pornographic or erotic content should be linked to with an appropriate warning (e.g. NSFW), and not sent as an attachment or part of a message. Clicking on such links is at the risk of the user. Profanity is permissible. The posting of child pornography in any form shall be ground for an immediate and permanent banishment by the Forum Moderator. Trigger Warnings - Persons posting to the [FORUM] should be cognizant of topics that could reasonably cause distress to specially-protected classes of people (e.g. victims of sexual violence). To help identify such posts, the tag [Trigger Warning] shall be used in the subject line of the original post or in the body of a reply when a message or portion of a message might be reasonably expected to upset someone with a past painful experience. While such discussions are allowable, greater care should be exercised in discussions tagged in this manner.
