Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Must have Boiler Operator Licenses and have received training in Ammonia Refrigeration.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the Preventive Maintenance Program and work orders related to the refrigeration department.
  • Performs Process Safety Management (Ammonia Refrigeration).
  • Oversees the boiler.
  • Oversees the facility and the equipment inside and outside.
  • Oversees projects.
  • Oversees contractors.
  • Upholds OSHA codes, IIAR codes, and any other governing body that pertains to the ammonia and/or boiler operations.
  • Keeps all operators updated on safety procedures and training.
  • Maintains log records on time sheets, green sheets, and scheduled days off records.
  • Must pass a background investigation.
