About The Position

The Formwork Superintendent manages all aspects of commercial and residential concrete projects including the supervision of logistics, schedules, foundations, walls, formwork, rebar installation, fine grading, slab pred SOG placements, SOMD, elevated slabs and site concrete. Other responsibilities may include design review, coordination of concrete pours and order concrete pumps and the building process. Lastly, the Superintendent provides leadership, planning, organization, direction, coordination, and control to meet the quality, profit, and growth objectives on all projects assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 + years of concrete forming experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, Excel, Word, Office Project.
  • Ability to prepare and edit schedules.
  • Strong technical building knowledge and ability to recognize proper forming techniques to. support required dimensions of concrete structures.
  • Must have knowledge of practices, methods, equipment, materials and tools used in concrete construction and maintenance.
  • Excellent knowledge of Building Code.
  • Proven performance in leadership and managing both people and construction sites.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and team building skills.
  • Be results focused with a proven track record of accomplishments in the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, problem solve, make recommendations for change, implement and evaluate and provide a strong process perspective.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, juggle numerous and diverse activities, organizing and prioritizing appropriately to meet demands and expectations.
  • Be a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast pace team environment and have a desire to grow with the Company.

Nice To Haves

  • First Aid/CPR certified preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for securing assigned posts at entry points and welcoming and greeting guests.
  • Ensure guests and residents are authorized to be inside a venue, checking identification, using registries and guest lists, and issuing wristbands or other security measures.
  • Remind guests, residents, and employees of safety and security policies with an attitude of dignity and respect, maintaining a positive and fun environment.
  • Assist front desk agents with situations throughout the property.
  • Roam the entire property on foot; monitoring and promptly reporting or solving issues.
  • Manage conflict between guests, residents or employees and utilize knowledge and training to resolve issues safely and effectively solve conflicts.
  • Assess and determine the course of action on certain situations and if the situation merits, asks guests, residents, employees, transients, or outside visitors to leave the property.
  • Handle such issues with dignity and respect and recognize when these situations become a safety or security concern.
  • Take appropriate steps to report or correct problems by keeping the safety of everyone involved at the highest priority.
  • Respond to emergencies on the property and take necessary steps to report or correct the situation.
  • Use a radio, telephone, email account, or face to face contact to communicate with guests and employees regarding any safety and security concerns or issues taking immediately take steps to solve or report the problem and follow up with guests or employees to ensure total satisfaction.
  • Assist with all medical emergencies large or small, administer first aid to guests and employees and recognize when emergency medical assistance needs to be contacted.
  • Complete investigations and prepare written reports for incidents regarding medical emergencies, property loss and damage, or other criminal activity occurring on the property.
  • Maintain an inventory of lost and found property.
  • Own communication with guests in person, over the phone, or through email, and prepare shipments of property to return to guests.
  • Record all daily activity on a typed Daily Activity Report.
  • Perform other duties as required.
