Position/Location Specific Information: Formulation Technician, 3rd Shift This position is based out of our Grand Island, NY site within BioProduction Group. Competitive Pay: $21/hr; + shift differential Third Shift (Nights Sunday, 10:30pm- Friday, 7am)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced work environment is preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice environment is preferred.
  • General understanding of technical, mechanical, and machinery equipment is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Strong attention to detail for complex instructions and documentation while maintaining quality output.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple processes in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Perform basic math, verbal, written, and oral communication with team.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and move up to 50 pounds and may be required to stand for extended periods of time while performing duties.
  • Ability to squat, bend, and reach different items to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including work uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, beard guard (when required), safety glasses, and gloves. PPE may also include a bump cap, face shield, and full/half-face respirators.
  • Availability to work overtime and flexible shift patterns.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal training in Lean, 5S, or manufacturing processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Use of equipment that includes mixers, mills, blenders, pumps, filtration systems, packaging, and laboratory equipment.
  • Weigh, measure, and check raw materials with the assistance of a computer interface to assure batches manufactured contain accurate materials and quantities.
  • Calibrate and operate manual, semi-automated, and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Identify and conduct basic troubleshooting for equipment.
  • Follow all safe practices, policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions in controlled environments up to and including classified clean rooms.
  • Complete and maintain compliance with the Quality Management Systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete moderately complex tasks related to manufacturing of cell culture media.
  • Perform related duties as required to meet the business goals and requirements.
