Location/Division Specific Information: This position is based out of our Grand Island, NY site within BioProduction Group. A Day in the Life: Use of equipment that includes mixers, mills, blenders, pumps, filtration systems, packaging, and laboratory equipment. Weigh, measure, and check raw materials with the assistance of a computer interface to assure batches manufactured contain accurate materials and quantities. Calibrate and operate manual, semi-automated, and automated manufacturing equipment. Identify and c onduct basic troubleshooting for equipment . Follow all safe practices, policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions in controlled environments up to and including classified clean rooms. Complete and maintain compliance with the Quality Management Systems and regulatory requirements. Complete moderately complex tasks related to manufacturing of cell culture media. Perform related duties as to meet the business goals and requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is .
  • 2 + years of experience in a fa st -paced work environment is preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice environment is preferred .
  • General understanding of technical, mechanical, and machinery equipment is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are .
  • Strong attention to detail for complex instructions and documentation while maintaining quality output.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple processes in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Perform basic math, verbal, written, and oral communication with team .
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and move up to 50 pounds and may be to stand for extended periods of time while performing duties.
  • Ability to squat, bend, and reach different items to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including work uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, beard guard (when ), safety glasses, and gloves.
  • Availability to work overtime and flexible shift patterns.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal training in Lean, 5S, or manufacturing processes is preferred.
