Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and/or commensurate experience required
3+ years of experience in leading or supervising a cGMP FDA regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of cGMP guidelines/standards is required.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.
Demonstrated written and oral communications skills including strong presentation skills.
Strong results orientation.
Proficient written, verbal and oral English communication skills are required.
Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential, proficient in the use of spreadsheets and word processing programs.
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds periodically.
Must pass an eye exam confirming 20/20 near vision corrected (with contacts or glasses) or uncorrected
Must pass an eye exam confirming the ability to accurately perceive color

Responsibilities

Supervise the formulation production area. Position may support the supervision of other areas of operations as business needs dictate.
Conduct time and attendance review and drive accountability for all team members.
Act as the first point of contact for formulation team questions and support.
Collaborate cross functionally to address support and improvement initiatives including documentation errors.
Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are current, and training .
Analyze production efficiencies, downtime, and waste making recommendations for improvement.
Lead the team to meet and exceed company set goals including the production plan.
Conduct and write investigations and Corrective Action Preventative Actions (CAPA) for non-conformances in the department.
Lead problem solving activities.
Manage staffing levels and budget spending.
Other duties as assigned.
Directly hire and lead a team of technicians, leads and coordinators.
Foster a positive and productive work environment, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
Conduct regular 1:1’s to address performance, feedback and relationship building.
Identify training and development needs within the team and facilitate as able.
