This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager. The role is responsible for supervision of the Formulation production areas. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and/or commensurate experience required 
  • 3+ years of experience in leading or supervising a cGMP FDA regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of cGMP guidelines/standards is required.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change. 
  • Demonstrated written and oral communications skills including strong presentation skills. 
  • Strong results orientation. 
  • Proficient written, verbal and oral English communication skills are required.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential, proficient in the use of spreadsheets and word processing programs. 
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds periodically. 
  • Must pass an eye exam confirming 20/20 near vision corrected (with contacts or glasses) or uncorrected 
  • Must pass an eye exam confirming the ability to accurately perceive color

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the formulation production area. Position may support the supervision of other areas of operations as business needs dictate.
  • Conduct time and attendance review and drive accountability for all team members.
  • Act as the first point of contact for formulation team questions and support.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to address support and improvement initiatives including documentation errors.
  • Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are current, and training . 
  • Analyze production efficiencies, downtime, and waste making recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead the team to meet and exceed company set goals including the production plan.
  • Conduct and write investigations and Corrective Action Preventative Actions (CAPA) for non-conformances in the department. 
  • Lead problem solving activities. 
  • Manage staffing levels and budget spending. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Directly hire and lead a team of technicians, leads and coordinators.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring. 
  • Conduct regular 1:1’s to address performance, feedback and relationship building.
  • Identify training and development needs within the team and facilitate as able.
