Requirements
- Willingness to come on-site 5 days a week and work in a lab setting with long pants and closed-toed shoes.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and willingness to learn and use formulation software.
- Strong social skills, communication (written and verbal), and the ability to work in a team environment.
- College student majoring in a STEM field: Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science (should have taken at least entry-level chemistry and chemistry lab, ideally have already had organic chemistry and organic chemistry labs).
- Have taken college lab courses or worked in a lab environment and am familiar with recording data in a lab notebook.
Responsibilities
- Learn hands-on formulation of wash-off and leave-on products, such as hair color.
- Redefine existing products through cost-benefit analysis and develop efficient formulations without compromising benefits and product aesthetics.
- Understand raw material functions and chemistry of surfactants, emulsions, and polymeric adhesives.
- Conduct informal lab stability to ensure that the formulas are robust and ready for scale-up.
