Requirements

• Educated to Degree level (Food Science, Chemistry, chemical engineering or other degree)
• Minimum 2-year R D experience with a proven track record of delivery
• Experience and/or proven track record of successful formulation and delivery of technical projects in a Healthcare or VMS environment
• Experience and skills with organization, prioritization, problem solving, resource planning, and risk management
• Ability to both deliver independently and communicate in cross-functional project teams
• Ability to display a degree of flexibility and adapt effectively to change
• Proactive mindset fitting with RB Core Values and able to exhibit entrepreneurial attributes

Responsibilities

• Develop new products and technologies based on relevant consumer insights in support of brand initiatives
• Lead and advance multiple projects through the product development process
• Work cross-functionally and lead project teams to achieve key milestones and objectives
• Initiate and conduct experiments to validate product and process at bench top, pilot plant, and plant level
• Conduct descriptive and comparative sensory panels to characterize product attributes and quantify differences
• Analyze data and make recommendations based on statistical methods
• Respond effectively and efficiently to changes in project priorities and needs
• Ensure technical aspects of the assigned projects are carried out as per the agreed timings and standards
• Prepare relevant product specifications and internal documentation and ensure all are approved prior to full production start-up
• Compile and circulate technical reports throughout the product development process
• Ensure all individual work adheres to RB Global Quality Manuals and relevant legislative, regulatory and health & safety requirements
• Organize and complete product stability studies, evaluate new raw materials, assist in developing prototype formulations/products, support pilot scale-up and attend industrial trial manufacturing
• Contribute to team and continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders
• Set objectives, conduct performance reviews and advise on the development of team member(s)
