About The Position

The Formulary Operations Management Professional 2 provides clinical and operational leadership for build, maintenance, submission, and updating of formularies and drug lists. The Formulary Operations Management Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. The Formulary Operations Management Professional 2 ensures accuracy of formularies and utilization management (UM) criteria in the Centralized Formulary System. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, pharmacists, and other departments to operationalize formularies. Perform formulary analysis to ensure operational flow. Develop measurements and plans to improve overall process improvements and efficiency. Create formulary management process and training documentation. Understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating goals, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receive guidance where needed. Follow established guidelines/procedures. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Less than 5 years of technical experience
  • Prior demonstrated experience with process improvement or process design and implementation roles
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Visio, Excel and Access
  • Handle change in a fast paced environment
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences

Nice To Haves

  • Prior management experience
  • Lean, 6 sigma experience and certifications
  • Excellent data analysis and experience working with Access, SQL and Excel
  • Previous experience with pharmacy benefits management
