The Forming Machine Operator is responsible to operate and maintain one or more of the following pieces of equipment – Koppens/APS/Extruder/NEX-GEM. Forming Machine Operators must operate equipment in a safe manner, while maintaining quality specifications and production standards set by each line. Your day-to-day may consist of: Understand and follow production schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment setup. Conduct essential machine setup, pre-start checks, testing, and monitoring to ensure proper operation and product quality. Identify and address safety and food safety risks, maintaining clean and compliant work areas per GMP guidelines. Efficiently manage materials and accurately complete required documentation throughout the shift. Adapt to production changes, assist with material transport when trained, perform minor equipment adjustments, and participate in required training sessions. This role works in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to loud noises, strong odors, temperature fluctuations, moving machinery, wet or humid conditions, hazardous chemicals, high or confined areas, extreme temperatures, and vibration throughout various facility areas. This role also regularly engages in prolonged standing, walking, communicating, and sensory tasks throughout each shift, while frequently handling objects, climbing, balancing, and performing various physical movements such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as part of job duties. The use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus is required. Available Shifts: PM Shift (6PM-6AM) on a 2-2-3 schedule.
