Raytheon, an RTX business, is seeking an experienced Software FQT engineer to join the Radar Digital Product Line team. This position plays a critical role in executing Formal Qualification Testing (FQT) for the back-end software of advanced radar systems, including the SPY-6 family of radars, the LTAMDS (Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor) family of radars, and several other cutting-edge radar platforms. The successful candidate will support delivery of software that meets stringent quality, performance, and mission-critical standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a STEM related field.
Experience with software qualification by inspection and analysis.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Jira for issue tracking and workflow management.
Familiarity with FQT processes, tools, and best practices.
Familiarity with IBM DOORS
Familiarity with decomposing software requirements into verification items and reviewing verification artifacts.
Exposure to tools such as ClearCase and MATLAB for data analysis.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

Work with FQT Lead to update and maintain RDPL FQT processes.
Ensure adherence to software FQT processes, industry standards, and customer requirements.
Support cross-functional teams in decomposing software requirements into verification items
Support cross-functional teams in implementing test drivers, test analysis, and other test artifacts to verify software requirements.
Support the analysis of test results, identification of root causes of issues, and resolution of defects to ensure compliance with performance standards.
Support execution of FQT activities for radar software products in support of the SPY-6, LTAMDS, and other radar systems.
Support the creation, review, and delivery of SW FQT related Contract Deliverables (CDRLs).
