About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred; prior warehouse experience plus warehouse mobile equipment operating experience preferred.
  • Must be able to be certified to operate warehouse mobile equipment such as forklift and pallet jack.
  • Basic required competencies: Conscientiousness, detail oriented, safety minded, self motivated to achieve, high initiative, ability to work with limited supervision, team oriented, learning and applying information, ability to follow instructions in English (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to read and speak fluent English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence relating to position.
  • Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of basic math and algebra.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Posses the ability to work with coworkers and gain mutual respect with a common goal of increasing sales and profitability.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must have the ability to operate safely warehouse mobile equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for putting away incoming freight off the dock and in to the racks per the specified location as listed on the pallet tag.
  • Responsible for the understanding of the electronic inventory system to properly record all transactions or moves of product.
  • Transfer pallets of product from the reserve levels to pick locations and perform any product moves as requested and required.
  • Responsible for safe operation of forklift.
  • Responsible for sanitation of work area.
  • Report any equipment issues or concerns and communicate with supervision on any product issues or any other concerns about job.
  • Responsible to perform at required production levels.
  • Work as a member of the AWG team so the total job responsibilities are met.
  • Actions must always stress a sense of cooperation, integrity, tact and consideration with our members, associates and division management.
