Forklift Team Member
About The Position
Knowledge | Experience | Skills: • Experience with warehouse, shipping, and receiving • Good communication and Interpersonal skills • Basic math skills and computer experience • Must have minimum of 1 year of forklift experience Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Follows safety regulations by completing and documenting the daily forklift inspections, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, and performing all duties safely around fellow employees and yourself. • Maintains housekeeping in the warehouse ensuring a clean, orderly and safe work environment • Transports materials between locations and scans (bar-code scanner) product into correct location. • Stores product in appropriate sections of warehouse as directed, allowing ease of use for FIFO system. • Participates in loading and unloading of materials into the warehouse. This includes scanning (bar-code) product to/from trailer locations as needed. • Pulls product from WH locations based on FIFO lists provided from IQ and ships orders accurately. This includes verifying lot information, part # and quantities against pick ticket information. • Verifies that all packaging/pallets related to product being transported are free of damage. • Reports any damaged product/pallets to supervisor so that product is quarantined and tagged as nonconforming. • Complete trailer inspections prior to unloading trailer. Have any “failed” trailers logged into the system and communicated to WH Manager. • Assists with physical inventory on scheduled frequencies. • Assists in unloading trucks. • Responsible for receiving products into the warehouse accurately and following procedures.
